While BikeCAD defines effective top tube length as the horizontal distance from the top tube/head tube junction to the seat tube, Taiwan uses a slight variation on this when referring to effective top tube length. Rather than measuring from the intersection of the top tube and head tube centerlines, the Taiwanese version of effective top tube length is taken from the center of the top surface of the head tube.
