I'd like to add a second top tube to my Boardtracker design, about 150 mm below the regular top tube. Is this possible? How would I do that? Thanks.

How to adjust crown height

How do you adjust the crown height? Is it letter G listed on the forks adjustment box? I think it is, but not completely sure.

When I try to make a change to letter G (i.e., crown height), the new change isn't reflected on the bike image, and the other parameters like letter K are not changed either. Am I doing something wrong?

Non-traditional frames

Hi Brent

In the design archives are a number of interesting non-traditional frames. Folders, penny-farthings, curved seat tubes, an X-frame, Notably several by cronjewv. When I try to open these in BikeCAD, the java applet just hangs.

Are these only available for the pro version? If so, what are the limitations on geometry supported by the pro version? I have some rather eccentric ideas for bikes, and if the pro version could handle them, it would be worth the money rather than spending the time it takes to draw them in Draftsight.

How to calculate radius of wheel (including tire)

Is there a way to calculate radius of a wheel? It probably not in BikeCAD, but something to consider when designing fork / chainstay length and shape. For ex: if I know I am designing around a 650b rim and tire, how do I calculate the radius?

How do you enter the axle-to-crown measurement in BikeCAD?

I can't find the axle-to-crown measurement listed in BikeCAD. This is key to communicating my design to the builder because I am wanting to use an after-market fork. Since the builder isn't building the fork, he would need to take into account the axle-to-crown measurement. However, I can't find it in BikeCAD. I don't see it when I click on the fork icon. Where is it?

Can't see how to start a new mountain bike design

Hi. I've used BikeCAD for road bikes many times. There used to be a way to choose to start a mountain bike or road bike design from the launch page. WIth this latest version, I can't see how to do this. When I click "Quick start" I am automatically given a road bike template. Frustrating.

Saddle height based on fixed formula?

Hi,

Does anyone know why the saddle height is calculated based on a fixed formula 0.883 x C (C = inseam length) in the cyclist dimension tab? This seems to ignore the fact that a longer crank should result in a reduced saddle height.

Thanks, Marcel

Hi - Great s/w. I was able to save an existing model but how do I change decal name? I read how to show decal in prior thread. I looked a paint section and do not see a place to type text. Thanks and one day I'll purchase Pro.

I'm having trouble getting any of the components to show up after selecting a part. Also, the text isn't working at all on the frame. Any Suggestions? I am using a PC and tried both the newest versions of Internet Explorer and also Safari to no avail. Thanks!!
