Hello does BCP have a simple printable tool to print the chainstay to BB diagram? I want to use the BikeCAD plan to just see the placement of my chainstay miters.

thanks!

Chain stays auxiliary view Z and S dims appear offset

I started a file in BikeCAD 17.5, and am finishing the design in BikeCAD 18.

After adding the 2 x yoke option (Cobra Sidewinder v9), the Z and S dimensions in the chain stays auxiliary views appear offset from the actual chain stay ends.

On the main frame view the yokes appear disconnected from the BB shell unless I tweak the F dimension to -1mm.

When I add the same yoke setup to the default bike loaded upon staring BikeCAD 18, everything looks fine.

Might I have accidentally tweaked some setting to get these dimensions showing up out of place?

Hi,

I'd like to make my road bike design look more like a gravel bike. How can i change the tires so they look more like gnarly gravel tires?

Also, I find it difficult to find related stuff in the how to listing. Even when I use the search (in this case I typed "tires", i often don't find what I am looking for. Just letting you know.

Thanks,

Patrick

Rear Rack Options

BikeCAD Pro How To Forum

Hey Brent,

Is there a way to adjust the braze-on locations for a rear rack?

I see that there is an option to move the top braze-ons along the seat stay but it seems like I can't add them to the seat tube (or, in my desired case, offset them rearward from the seat tube).

Additionally, is there an option somewhere to attach the bottom of the rack at a different point along the seat stay?

If there isn't a way to this, I would love to see this implemented at some point down the road.

I appreciate your feedback?

Install problems on Win 10 pro 64 bit

I tried to install v. 18, and got the "cant create jvm" error.

Should I delete the BikeCAD 13 folder?

I installed a new version of Java and still get the error. I also get it with V13, which had previously been running fine.

Windows really didn't want me to install it, I'm not sure if they are keeping it from running or not.

Hi,

does anyone know if there is an option to see the fork crown clearance in regards to tire and fender? I know abou the "fork crown clearance" button in the fork dimension dialog box, but this doesn't show the tire or fender. but couldn't find anything

I use the stays auxillary view to see this for the rear triangle, but missing this option for the fork.

If this option doesn't exist, I think it would be a very helpful feature. ;)

thanks,

Dan

Hi there,

I just found out about the new cargobike option in version 18.0 off BikeCAD. I'm currently planing a cargobike and therefore it would be ideal, to have BikeCAD as support. I couldn't find the new version yet, so I'm a bit curious when it will be released?

Big up and thank your for this great feature!

All the best,

Quirin!

Transferring saved dimensions between updated BikeCAD versions

Is there a way to save each dimension set and transfer them to the new updated versions of BikeCAD? It's kind of a pain to have to go through and re-select each dimension/measurement everytime there is an update.

Thanks.

Brandon
