Occassionaly I need to perform a complex mitre thats out of the norm. I may not have the correct hole cutter size, or perhaps it'd require a good bit of jig work for the mill, etc. Wondering if a ad-hoc mitre tool could be added?
An example might be a e-stay bike (aka alpinestars from 91-93) where the stays meet the downtube, these mitres are complex. 1" tube meets 1.25" tube at various axis. A paper template of such would save a fair bit of aggro.
It is my goal to make BikeCAD versatile enough that it provides accurate miter templates for all sorts of weird scenarios. Admittedly, BikeCAD miter templates do not currently account for chainstays attaching to the downtube. However, it is possible to model these as seat stays and if you do that, it should give you accurate miter templates.
