I upgraded to 12.5 and now cannot find the steering geometry check box . I used it before...
it seems to be missing from the dimension list.

Are you sure you have only just updated to 12.5? The current version of BikeCAD is 13.0. Version 13.0 has been available since October 2016.
A new option introduced in version 13 is the ISO recommendations on steering geometry: bikecad.ca/steering_iso. There are other dimensions that relate to steering geometry such as trail, head angle, and fork rake, but there is no specific section for steering related dimensions.
